Artificial Intelligence is on the horizon, but will it take over the world or is it all just big data and statistics?

Machine learning and artificial intelligence is at the centre of the latest myth-busting symposium by eRSA. Innovation Symposium: AI Beyond the Myths will unravel the myths, ethics and practical implications of artificial intelligence through a panel of industry and academic experts.

The panel will include:

  • Dr Leanna Read, Chief Scientist of South Australia
  • Mary Hobson, CEO, eRSA
  • Professor Lyle Palmer, University of Adelaide, School of Public Health
  • Professor Anton van den Hengel, Director, Australian Centre for Visual Technologies
  • Associate Professor Theresa Dirndorfer Anderson, Connected Intelligence Centre

 

The event will be followed by lunch and a networking session to continue the discussion on the future of AI.

Innovation Symposium: AI Beyond the Myths is part of Open State, a festival ofinnovation, collaboration, ideas and enterprise. The eleven day festival boasts an extensive list of events centred around the future prosperity of South Australia.

Innovation Symposium: AI Beyond the Myths is on 5 October, 2017 at The Science Exchange. The event is free, but registrations are required by 2 October, 2017.
