It’s said that today’s PhD students are tomorrow’s entrepeneurs and now, a new challenge is trying to make that a reality.

The Australian-French Entrepeneurial Challenge is an event that will test and develop participants’ entrepeneurial skills. Teams of PhD students from a variety of backgrounds will design, develop and pitch a start-up idea in just 24 hours. Throughout this time, attendees will gain new entrepeneurial and relationship-building skills, access expert advice from seasoned mentors and achieve the seemingly impossible.

This year, the Australian-French Entrepeneurial Challenge will be held in Adelaide from 11 – 12 July, 2017. 70 PhD students from across the country will be selected to participate in this special event.

Applications are now open and close on 8 May, 2017. For more information and to apply, head to the Australian Academy of Science website.
