Art in Parks: Pencils and Petals

@

Learn various techniques to create an array of textures and patterns, under the expert guidance of local artist Carol Bann. Be inspired by the fauna and flora in Cox Scrub, in particular the stunning springtime displays of native orchids, which we will learn about from the Native Orchid Society of South Australia. Practise drawing from life and photographs along with creating a pleasing composition and researching your subject and environment.

Art in Parks: Pencils and Petals is on for one day only on 19 November at Cox Scrub Conservation Park. Tickets are $50, which includes lunch. Bookings are essential.

Art in Parks is a series of events that bring together scientists and artists in scenic locations across the Murray Darling Basin. The program is presented by the Natural Resources SA Murray Darling Basin, and funded by the 2017 Inspiring South Australia Regional Science-Arts Grants program.
