South Australian scientists produce world-renowned research, worthy of our attention. Thankfully, the annual South Australian Science Excellence Awards recognise and reward the outstanding achievements of South Australian scientists.

In 2016, Professor Alan Cooper was honoured with the prestigious Science of the Year award for his research using ancient DNA. However, all the nominees from the 2016 South Australian Science Excellence Awards were impressive, with each producing inspiring research.
