Ecologists with a passion for outreach are being rewarded with a new communications prize.

The NSW Office for Environment and Heritage (OEH) and the Ecological Society of Australia (ESA) have teamed up to offer the OEH/ESA Prize for Outstanding Outreach. The Prize is being offered to ecologists who have demonstrated excellence in communicating ecological research to the public.

A total of 6 prizes are to be awarded annually to early career researchers, including research students. Each winner will receive $400 cash, a certificate of merit and recognition from OEH and ESA.

Applications for the OEH/ESA Prize for Outstanding Outreach are now open and close on 25 August, 2017. For more information and to apply, head to the ESA website.
