Nominations are now open for the Unsung Hero Awards – celebrate a scientist or science communicator that deserves recognition

The Unsung Hero Awards of South Australian Science are dedicated to hard working scientists and science communicators who have not yet received significant recognition for their work. The awards recognise a person or a group in two categories: Science and Science Communication.

Nominees should be South Australian residents with the work carried out in South Australia and having national significance. The awards hope to assist winners in publicising their scientific issues, to focus attention on their efforts, or boost the credibility of their work. The awards will be announced at the Science Excellence Awards Gala Dinner on 10 August.

The Unsung Hero Awards of South Australian Science are a joint initiative of National Science Week SA and the Australian Science Communicators SA (ASCSA).
