Wardlipari – Indigenous STEMM Mural at SAHMRI launched
Inspiring SA is delighted to be a supporter of the new Wardlipari – Indigenous STEMM Mural at SAHMRI which was launched on the 13 February 2024.
The Indigenous STEMM Mural is a reflection of SAHMRI’s focus no Aboriginal health research and commitment to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with the opportunity to live healthy, long, full lives.
The mural designed by Allan Sumner, reflects the story of the Karrawirra Pari (River Torrens). It describes the relationship and connection that Miyurna (Kaurna people) had with the river. Stories that have been passed down from generation to generation describing a time when the river gave life to all living things.
