National Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of science.

Officially running August 14-22 2021, we have so much activity happening in South Australia that it’s more like National Science Month!

There are events happening across the country, catering to all ages and interests. Head to the National Science Week website to find an event near you.

You can also follow National Science Week South Australia on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date with what’s happening in the state.

Holding a National Science Week event in South Australia? Add National Science Week SA as a co-host to your event on Facebook so that we can help promote it. Don’t forget to register your event on the website!

Library activity booklets are available, as are early childhood education ideas.

This year’s theme will be Food: Different by Design, and we will prepare a brochure to help you navigate the festivities.

Thank you so very much to everyone contributing to this year’s science festival – for your extraordinary creative efforts, your willingness to learn new technologies and ways of communicating science, and for the great expertise and passion you bring to our community.

We are very keen to find out who our audiences are this year and what your thoughts are about the events you attend. Please assist us by taking part in the simple pre-event and post-event surveys when attending events.

We hope you enjoyed 2020!
