Dungeon, Dragons, and RPG meets Technology!

In this fun, interactive course we explore and try out a range of technology that will be used to create a tabletop role-playing adventure game.
Each week we will focus on a different piece of technology, and create a different aspect of the game. Then in the final session participants will play out a RPG style campaign incorporating the tech they’ve created.
WEEK 1 (9 August): Characters & 3D Printing
In this session participants will be given a brief outline of what to expect over the coming weeks, an overview of 3D printers, and how they work (and the chance to see one in action), then they will design their own miniature using Eldritch Foundry (which they will be able to take home after the final session). Participants will also be given a character sheet to take home and complete.
WEEK 2 (16 August): Maps & Digital Art
In this session we will use some free graphic design software to create location maps that will be used in the final session.
Week 3 (23 August): Dice & Coding
In this session we will code a collection of digital dice using Scratch.
Week 4 (30 August): Play time! *2 hour session*
In this final session we will combine everything we have created in the previous sessions and play out a RPG Dungeons and Dragons style game. *Please note this will be an extended 2 hour session*
Suitable for ages 10-14.
Basic computer skills essential. Laptops and all equipment will be provided.
Please note: it is essential that all participants commit to the full 4 week program.
