It’s whale season! Whales are spectacular and they can be whaley spectacular when they breach, tail-slap or even blow. Come and learn all about southern right whales, including how they move and what they eat.
Children will learn what to look for when out whale spotting, including how to identify different whale species and how scientists identify individuals. They will learn about whale behaviour and their movements. This may involve some silly movements as we pretend to be whales. Children will also have the opportunity to make origami whales.
Aimed at 4-10 year olds.
Adults/guardians are welcome to stay without purchasing a ticket, or they can leave their children if they feel comfortable to do so.
Ticket price includes entry for the child to the whale centre displays.
